Fire at the Front

Last week we combined with our dear friends the Frontliners

Welcome to F.G.A!

Bouncers. *takes a look.....*trembles
Ushers
We started off with pre-service prayer.

Our sound man and L.C.D. boys that night

'Upstairs' having a chat

What the place looked like

Ok after prayer we had, after a long absence ICE-BREAKER!

Eulene
Frontliners
fireBRANDS

For the ice-breaker 4 people would line up in a row. The back person would be given something to act out and he acts it for the person in front. The cycle continues until the first person which has to guess what was being acted out.

Check the pros out.

Then was worship lead by Beverly

Announcements by the energetic Ming Yen

After all that was done, It was time for the main event for the night. A message from the talented and annointed Marcus from the Malaysian Youth Prayer Gathering. He totally rocks.

He's only 18

He started out with, Why Malaysia? These days everyone is dying and wanting to go overseas to work or live. But stop and think, if God wanted you there don't you think he would have saved you the trouble and put you there in the first place.

What is prayer? Prayer is a LIFESTYLE and intimacy with God. Its is not just coming to church and being serious with God then living the same life again.

What sets us apart from other religions is the fact the prayer to us is not a ritual.

Ok now for an ugly truth.

God is your father in Heaven, and he will give you everything you want. But if you don't spend time with him (through prayer) how will he be able to trust you with anything or give you anything?

It's like, you go up to some rich guy and ask him for a Ferrari. He can give it to you. But why?

Something to think about.

Go, Send or Disobey

Last Saturday we had a very special speaker.

Pastor Robert Ling

Pastor is a very experienced missionary and has been to many places around the world.

So what else would he speak about but something close to his heart.

The notes will be in point form. Really really point form. Forgive the blogger.

-Missions is on the heart of God. It is God's will.

Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body. 1 Corinthians : 19-20

- The verse says we belong to Jesus.

- Christianity that a persons life and services be consecrated to God.

- Our obligations remain the same no matter our status in life. Example, if we are billionares, we still have to go to worship God right?

Our obligations are to give our lives, time and possessions for the evangelization of lost souls.

Therefore do not neglect the call of God on your life.

GO, SEND OR DISOBEY.

As usual there was bible class at 6.00

Prayer was at 7.15 which is now led by KEN-JEEN!. Do keep him in prayer as well.

After prayer was worship led by Shiau Xian.

Then was the all important announcements.

1. There will be no youth service next week. Why?

Details at http://2010.urtherevolution.com/tour.cfm

If you need transport for any of the events please contact pastor Victor A.S.A.P.

*service will continue on the 1st of May

2. Junior Youth Band will be stopped for the moment due to exams. *will probably resume around 20th June.

This week we also took time to appreciate all the April babies.

And after that was the highlight of the night. Sermons by our 2 young preachers Tania and Elisha!

Tania went first. So this is roughly the main points in her message.

I rejoiced with those who said to me, "Let us go to the house of the LORD." - Psalms 122 : 1

They were glad to go to Church. Since being in church gives us such great joy, should't we be sharing the joy with other people?

Its time to move out to bring the church to the people.

Why do we not like moving? or why do we just don't move.

Cause we're so comfortable where we are and attached to our comfort zone.

Sometimes we're also just to scared to take that step of faith and move.

One thing that people need to know is that, God will empower us when we move. You don't need power to sit still right?

I'll end this with no one is meant to stay put, we are all Jesus' hands and feet. Don't waste your life.

GET MOVING!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_3lckhnMdM * I feel this song really ties in with the message.

Okay, now for the other speaker that night.

The one, the big, the intelligent

Elisha Low

His title was 'Reflecting the light of our God, Immitating the work of our Father'

1. Reflecting the light
2. Immitating our Father

1. Matthew 5 :13-16
- We are called to be the salt of the earth and the light to the world.

Sin blocks us from doing what God wants us to do and being sensitive to the word of God.

So we should always stay away from sin and stay close to God and his word.
13We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face to keep the Israelites from gazing at it while the radiance was fading away. 14But their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant is read. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away. 15Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts. 16But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18And we, who with unveiled faces all reflecta]">[a] the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. -2 corinthians 13-18

We are the reflection of his light, the beacon to the lost. 11Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God.
