WAVE CHALLENGE!! 25th of April

Alright people..finally an update..hee..

well..as you all know that last year [2008] we had our triple challenge..this year's called wave challenge because this year we have an extra sport..if some of you people didnt know.. :]
We had Skittle ball this year..CAPTAIN BALL..FLOORBALL..and ultimate frisbee.. :D

Some of you may be wondering why I capitalized them two sports right?? or not..hah..dont care..well,if you must know..those are them two very sports that FireBrands played on that day..

So,this is how the day started out..
I guess that everyone woke up pretty early that day..and my guessing that most of them are pretty sleepy..well,I was..hee

Later on..if I'm not mistaken..Firebrands Bluethooth was first from among of our teams to play first.then on and on goes with the games.. =]

We played and played..and cheered..and played..run run run..for floorball..run run run..ball! then pass the ball with the stick..then run somemore and of course try to score also..hehe..captain ball le..run run stop..pass..run..get the ball..pass..then continue running then try to goal! hee
as you can read..there is a lot of running to be done for both games..so,you can see that we are all very tired..from the running..hee

but but..guess what? we had lots of fun..seriously!!
then after that.we had lunch there..well..we ate the food that we ordered..hee..and and, they syrup water..this is what I heard..I didnt drink any of it.. :] it was overly sweet! hee..but the isotonic drink was not that bad..hee

ok..to cut the whole thing short..we played..but sadly..only firebrands infrared was the only team that managed to get into finals..but but..we really played hard and well..so..I wanna congrats all the others who gave their bests! And to the floorball team..am proud of you people..even though you havent really played much of the game..but I am so happy to see you people played and played with all that you've got..so great job!!
hee

anyways..I'll just end here la alright? dont want you people to read till you grow bored of reading..so bye..and the next update will be posted sooner or later? :]

and and..this post was written by somebdy? hee.. =]

PS. Dear readers, a slight delay for the pictures to be in the blog! They'll be up soon, though!
EDIT. They're up!

Due to the amnesia attack I had when I was all the way in Timbuktu having a chocolate
milkshake (note. I remembered that one!), I’ll have to try as far as my brain cells can function to give a write up on how tonight’s Youth service went which might I add, was COWING-MILKING-ROCKING AWESOMEEEEEEEE!!!

7.00 pm. and the place was piling up with people. Both from fireBRANDS and frontliners. Looking at it from a different perspective, you could say it was a whole barn yard of cows gathering together for a milking expedition. Prayer started where we got into groups of 2-3. I believe that it is by prayer that God can make things happen. And I believe that this wasn’t just a normal combine night but it was a night for us all to remember as the start of a very new journey with God.

Icebreaker-credits go to the ever famous Miss Tania Loke and little Miss Eulene who did a wonderful job preparing a mini game with so much life and enthusiasm! [Note. The blanket was a little bigger this time] All in all, people from both different youth groups were blending in, mingling around and having a fun time together.

Worship then started. And through the very slits of my eyes, I knew that God was present. People were lifting up their hands, crying out for God, jumping for joy, screaming their lungs out...Gahh! You get the picture, don’t you?! It was a time where we set our hearts right before God. A time where we made a decision whether or not God would be in full control of our life.

Pastor Thomas! Bless his soul! Anointed and very much of ‘ooomph’! With his message on BURN THE FATS, which was a good way to catch the young people’s attention. Telling us his past story on how having to eat a wax apple thinking that it was real did make us laugh our butts off our warmly heated chairs. To cut a long story short, his message was on being genuine Christians and not fake ones like the wax apple which I have a hunch that he lost a tooth through that incident! Readers, we are called not to just come to church or youth services and receive God’s blessing and love but to also be a blessing to others. We should be the irresistible influence, the salt of the earth, a youth with a difference! We need to grow...by reading the word of God, by setting a time to pray and seek the Lord. e’nough said!

All in all, it has a been a great night! To those who didn’t manage to attend tonight’s service, I’m here to tell you...that YOU MISSED A WHOLE LOT OF GOOD STUFF =)

In the meantime...

...while the photos travel from the other side of the universe...

...here's a little something!

Which I really think sums up pretty much anyone'd wanna say about last week's youth service.

I quote Gary.

youth service was awesome!!!
josh yeoh's 1hour++ worship i don't know how to say
but its really really really nice

It's a really fitting description which sums everything up, don't ya think?

Now all we need is the photos.. :)

..

EDIT: Photos have finally arrived, fresh from Timbuktu (should explain the slight delay..).

World, meet the revolutionists!
Service started with the people who coincidentally wore Revo '09 t-shirts being herded up to the front.

Eulene takes the mike, on a vision she saw during pre-service prayer: thousands upon thousands of people in a jam-packed huge stadium worshipping God, among them one of her friends who's unsaved as yet.

You know it's taken with something along the lines of a DSLR.
Pastor Victor then went on to introduce the speaker for the night (who is definitely overflowing with God's anointing!).

Notice something? No chairs, again :) it's becoming somewhat of a trademark every week
The people there.

Yup, we've seen him before. And hopefully for many more times to come. Josh Yeoh. And this time, based on past experiences, he had enough radical faith to actually not prepare anything for that night, relying on God to show the way. And show the way He did.

Worship. Was. Amazing.

So from then on the night just kept going on and on, Josh more to ministry than to preaching.

Prayer. It works wonders.

Prayer and worship were stepped up that night: from prayer shouts to praying for breakthroughs and praying for each other...

The night definitely wow-ed every single person there.

We went to a whole new level with God, we really did.

Revo '09

Just that short title makes you get all excited now, doesn't it?

Revo was amazing, mind-boggling, awesome, terrific, refreshing, exciting, unbelievable...

like WOW.

That's how great it was.

And it's over now... UNLESS you're doing Recess Revo, which you darn right well should be :)

Oh right. Where were we?

REVO P.A.R.T.Y. - FGA Centre - 3rd April, 2009

fireBRANDS ushered!

So there we were making friends with the awesome Revo team wondering whether the heavy, heavy rain would dampen anyone's spirits...

7:30p.m. came and we had a meager crowd.

anyone else coming a not? like so few people wan...

7:40p.m. and people started coming and coming.

WELCOME TO REVO PENANGGGGG!

7:50p.m.
it's so late d. i think it's starting already lor.

8:00p.m.

WELCOME!!! you survived the jam!!!

Revo that night was unlike any other youth service... it was sensational! phenomenal! awesomenal!

Now tell me how great is THAT?!

God deserves it!

Oh oh. And...

...the guy behind the sound system :)

Moving on, Pastor Kenneth gave a witty, down-to-earth message about the Holy Spirit.
He's most definitely a speaker anointed by God Himself!
And bytheway he rocks at facial expressions!

His CONVERSE.

Well then it was time for a time of ministry, Pastor Kenneth giving an altar call and loads of youth responded to the call that'd change their lives.

I'll let the photos do the talking.

His name's Pragas btw. EPCC youth leader.

REVO ACADEMY - EPCC - 4th April, 2009

I'm very happy to say that the fireBRANDS were (one of the) earliest bunches of ppl there and I think we made up a quarter of the congregation?

Yeah not many ppl turned up, but it was very good nonetheless. Amat berfaedah..

4 speakers. Pastor Sandra, Elder Kien Yak, his wife Shirley, EPCC Senior Pastor Sam.

Pastor Sandra talked on submission.

Elder Kien Yak on the house of God.

Shirley on church administration.

Sam on sonship.

Four times the benefits! That's like... better than Tesco! You buy nothing and you get four free.

And like all the paus, tau sar pneahs, milo and coffee you want (break time)...

REVO P.A.R.T.Y. - EPCC - 4th April, 2009

I like that cool countdown thing they had (see the LCD at the side?)..

Most unfortunately, not much photos this night.

EPCC has great ushers! Seriously! You ppl rock :)

Night kicked off with a dance presentation by STORM (they were formed after last year's Revo Tour).

Ps Sandra did an amazing job emcee-ing (and she's SO energetic! especially during praise n worship...), giving out free t-shirts, Actsperiments, and button badges to anyone willing to go up there and answer a question.
And then OF COURSE pastor Kenneth preached about F.E.A.R!
Let's not forget that he makes us laugh alot!
and and guess what?!
33 people were saved!
THAT IS WHY GOD IS AMAZING right?!

Earth Hour '09

You know when they say Earth Hour shouldn't just be an annual thing but a daily practice?

So in the spirit of Earth Hour, I'll keep this post short and simple (I'll use photos and few words instead of photos and a lot of words) so that the blog'll load faster (less words mah) so that the time you spend waiting for it to load will be shorter so that the carbon emissions caused by you using your computer would be less.

Okay, not that very less, but sedikit-sedikit lama-lama jadi bukit lol

Photography: James, Eulene, Yan, Sharon and whoever else used James's new-and-awesome-but-expensive-but-oh-well-we-DO-get-great-photos-for-the-blog(s) DSLR

Priceless expression :)

Before worship.

Worship! (notice the flying ponytail!)

Uncle Albert Kee, who introduced the FGA Welfare Fund to us fireBRANDS.

After which the lights were offed and we used two fragrant candles.

Okay so we're not supposed to use electronics but pfft how'd you expect the preacher from MBTS to read?

And those vainpots after service. haha.

It's short, ain't it?

It's the fireBRANDS blog trying to be environmentally friendly lol

Yeahh i know it won't make much of a diff but oh well :)

I needed an excuse to be lazy. hahaha. jk jk.

Oh and next up, remember:

REVOTOUR =D *points to sidebar
