So last week there was no cell group, no floorball, no bible class but there was.....

AWAKEN CONFERENCE 2010

It was a 3 session conference spread out between Friday and Saturday.

The speaker was this awesome guy pastor Daniel Lim from Penang but is a missionary that goes like everywhere.








All in all it was an amazing conference. Life changing.

Sadly this was the last Saturday before school started again.

Bible class at 6 led by Sharon.


Followed by prayer at 7.15

A Life Of Sacrifice.

¹Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship.

Romans 12 : 1

God requires us to live a life of sacrifice.

²⁵Large crowds were traveling with Jesus, and turning to them he said: ²⁶"If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters—yes, even his own life—he cannot be my disciple. ²⁷And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.

Luke 14 : 25-27

If you want to to be his disciple.

10 points about sacrifice.

1. Men are distinguished by their sacrifice.

2. The cost of your sacrifice will determine your harvest.

3. Many leaders are defeated because of what they are not willing to sacrifice.

4. Sacrifice is often what you get in exchange of your desired goals.If you limit what comes out of you you limit what comes in.

5. You can never advance life without sacrifice. The law of sacrifice is the law of exchange.

³⁹Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.

Matthew 10 : 39

6. Sacrifice opens doors of access. The success of a man is determined by access.

7. The willingness to sacrifice is the foundation of a disciples life.

8. Sacrifice is the ingredient to success of a great man.

9. The reward of sacrifice is found in exceeding real limits.

10. The greater the sacrifice the greater the obedience, the greater the obedience the greater the worship.

First thing we did was meet at church for a short briefing.

Then we headed to House of Hope to get our paint and rollers and stuff.


Then after that we made a short walk to the flats.


And before painting we meet up with the other churches involved at

Then after the short speach and photos and getting our designated floors it was time to 'ROLL OUT!'

All lazy climb stairs. We were given floors 4, 5, and 6 I think.

Can or not?

Working.

Focused.

Lagi focused.

More working.


And after maybe 3 and a half to 4 hours. We were done and treated to free lunch. Chicken rice. Forgot to snap a picture.

I have to say it was tiring. Very tiring. But at the end of the day it was all worth it as we made an impact in the community over there and thats one step closer to bringing Christ to them. Lastly thank you to everyone that went and doing it all with a

Smile.

So, revolution? be the change? Now's your chance. Just give one day of your holidays to bless the people of Rifle Range. Don't just say you want a change. Go out and bring change.

Bring your friends, college mates, school mates, parents anyone willing to basically.

The more people the faster things will get done.

It will be advised to not wear anything like super cool or fancy. Cause you will get dirty and sweaty. But who cares. All for God's kingdom. So dress simple.

-There will still be youth and bible class and everything. No change.

HOLIDAYS HAVE STARTED! Which means all of you who maybe don't come for bible class can come for the next 2 weeks. Please make effort.

Anyway, last weeks youth was rather empty attendance wise but everything else was as usual, refreshing.

Bible class lead by its new head Elisha.

Then after that was prayer lead by Shiau Xian. Yes she's back from Johor.


And after that was worship lead by Joyce Lim and her team.

Ok from now until the end, there are no more photos. It slipped my mind to take some. SORRY .Ming Yen will be thankful.

Anyway, the speaker that day was the energetic Chan Ming Yen.

Her message was titled 'Healing and Renewal'

Healing.

Satan would usually use people closest to us to hurt us. And when we are hurt we rebel. That is why we need healing and healing comes from, God.

Romans 8 : 1
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

God is telling us that we should not have condemnation among ourselves.

We are children of God and we deserve the best and we don't need to live a life full of bitterness and hatred.

1 John 3 : 1
How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

We are his children and we have authority.

We have to give God our best and we must demand God's best for us. If it's not God's best, don't receive it. Push it back.

Renewal.

Renewal can only come from the Holy Spirit.

2 Corinthians 5 : 17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

God has the ability to heal and renew us each and every time.

We just need to ask and have faith.

Spiritual renewal helps to fight the enemies off.

The dryness of our religion needs to be challenged by the freshness of the word of God.

Spiritual renewal is God's will for all of us. It starts with a need to have a desire for it to begin.

We should'nt be living in lack. Pray have faith and you will be healed.

Okay so most of our Saturday nights kick started with BIBLE CLASS.
This time it was led by ELISHA LOW.We worked on TAUNT PSLAMS, and Elisha drew this devil and made us throw dodge balls at it.

After dinner we had prayer then worship lead by Sharon.After worship EULENE made the announcements.
Remember boys and girls, paint your world AGAIN is happening on 12th June.

Sooo, to rise in God's power you gotta do those five things, basically.
In conclusion, We must have a servant heart in order to do missions and we must get into real business with God and live our lives with a servant heart.
