WHAT HAPPENED ON 23RD OF JULY??!!

ALRIGHT! CONGRATULATIONS! You have been chosen to be the lucky winner to read this post. nah, joking. maybe. maybe not. well, its possible. but then. . . . . wait, i think yeah... ARGH, up to you to decide then! xD

okay, enough with that arguing and lets return to this, shall we? or not? i don't care, im still going on. RIGHT, updates!

as you can see, the first picture clearly shows what happens before service/pre service prayer starts1. we talk

2. we smile at the camera
and after all that, we gather together for a time of prayer (a.k.a, pre-service prayer)
(it's the conference room you're looking at...xP)

here are the prayer points which we.. .. .. prayed for!!
1. the speaker
2. the worship team
3. and the service.

united we stand. :)

Joseph Lim and his worship team:)

AND, Joseph Lam, the speaker for that night

so after prayer, as usual, we had our 5 minute commercial(toilet) break. and for those that are either too lazy to go to the toilet, or they just can't find a reason to, here's what happened.

perfecting their writing(filling up forms)

smiling at the camera, part 2

promoting toothpaste (where's the toothpaste?)

OR

hiding a massively humongous pimple promoting a shampoo product (where's the shampoo?)

selepas itu, we had a wonderful time of worship led by Joseph Lim and his team.

eh, what happened to the another Joseph? wasn't there to of them? don't worry. he is the speaker for the night. so yeah.. :D

That's him.:D
Q: what did he talk about?
A: Confidence. Where should you place your confidence?
Q: uh.... i dunno... where?
A: read and understand. then you'll know where to put your confidence in.

yes, he spoke about confidence.
what about confidence?

- It comes from within us
-You can't be confident if you don't know anything, right?

-we shouldn't place our confidence in the things of the world.
ex: our family, friends or even the objects that you use.
They aren't perfect, and there are times where they have failed you.

Now, all of us want to be secure right? i mean, will you still sit on a chair that is wobbly? well, i wouldn't.
-so, the enemy tricks us by placing our confidence in this world.
- he has 3 things in his mind.
1. Steal.
2. Kill.
3. Destroy.

None of these 3 are good right?

but that's just the enemy. What about the Ally? He's none other than God

God will step in and change the game. That's where the enemy will fail.

In conclusion:
We are always tempted by the devil and this drives us away from God
God wants to have a relationship with EACH and EVERY ONE of us. :)

Wish you were here?

Okay yeah this place is nice too but...

What about HERE:

Hello dear fireBRANDS blog readers. Here's another blog about last weeks awesome service.

As usual, pre-service started with prayer.

After prayer, we had toilet break for those who had to answer nature's call.

Then it was time for the icebreaker which was led by Ms Eulene Ooi.

And for those who didn't get it right it was time to
face the music......

Butt writing!!

And a very special person who has been in fireBRANDS is leaving to further her studies in KL.
Ms Sharon Leow. All the best in KL. :)

Then its that time of the month again.........Young Preachers night. Woohoo!!!

First up was Sharon Lee, who talked about dreams.

What is a dream??
Well the Oxford dictionary states that a dream is a state of mind in which things going on around seem unreal.

3 main points (In a Christian's journey)
-through hope to get to the destiny
-through faith to build a better future

What is hope?
-to want something very much
-a feeling of desire

What is a wish?
-something you really want, and if you don't get it you'll be sad

Dreams start from a small thing
-whether its a big or small dream it all has a starting point and to fulfill it, start it and end it.

So by faith build a better future, go after your dream and use true love from the heart.

Conclusion
-use true love from the heart to fill others heart and show love and support them.

Next, Spongebob!! Haha just kidding

Its our next speaker Wei-Lynn, who shared about being focused or how not to get distracted by passing butterflies.

What distracts us?
-Satan and ourselves

What does God say about being focused??
-Psalm 1:16, your life will prosper if we're focused on the thing God asked us to do
-Luke 10:38-42, story of Mary & Martha

How to not get distracted by butterflies
-read your bible and pray everyday
-have faith, Proverbs 3:5
and start right and end right with God. :)

Conclusion
-Hebrews 12:1-2

And here is a picture of after service. Enjoy. :D

we had a famous guest speaker!

Yep so pre-service started off with prayer! Led by Pastor Victor this time.

Besides stuff like service, worship leader, speaker, etc. (not to say that they're not important) we also prayed for...

...Malaysia! United as one in agreement, praying for a better country:)

So then there was toilet break, and the end of pre-service.

Now we come to service!

And this woman was leading... icebreaker!

Being the fun lady she is, she made us do stuff like that!
It was a mix-up of math, biology and just plain silliness.

Alright then, as we go on! And as time flies by on its two little wings..

...it's time for worship, this time led by Yan-Y and really a back-to-basics night. Going low on the instruments and all but really just focusing on the One whom worship's all about, really.

Different.

Okay next we have announcements by our resident announcer:

Lester!

Announcements included The Plan '11 (talk to Sarah Wong!).

Without further ado let's welcome our guest speaker all the way from KL!

Miss Chan Ming Yen!
(who misses screaming "WELCOME TO FIREBRANDS!" into the microphone)

So she spoke on TRUST.

Yep trust.

Proverbs 3:5. Since we've had that verse THREE sermons in a row (must be reallyx99 important eh)... you should know it by now;)

Trust is to be confident, bold or to put/have hope in sth.

It's worth it cause God never fails us, His promises are yes and amen, and trust always comes with a promise.

So basically Ming Yen shared a few of the many many testimonies of how awesome God's been in her life in KL. From assignment woes, to the question of a life partner and future plans.

Through it all, God's basically taught her lessons through each trial, like the fact that He's faithful; or that we should walk by faith, not by sight.

What's so amazing about God is that He stoops down to make us great (2 Sam 22:36). He's the God of the past and the future, the mountains and the valleys. Our weakness is His strength, His grace is sufficient of us and no good things shall He withhold from us.

Ephesians 3:20, God is more than enough.

So it's a choice:
Trust or not?
