Reducing the calories.

PS. Dear readers, a slight delay for the pictures to be in the blog! They'll be up soon, though!
EDIT. They're up!

Due to the amnesia attack I had when I was all the way in Timbuktu having a chocolate
milkshake (note. I remembered that one!), I’ll have to try as far as my brain cells can function to give a write up on how tonight’s Youth service went which might I add, was COWING-MILKING-ROCKING AWESOMEEEEEEEE!!!

7.00 pm. and the place was piling up with people. Both from fireBRANDS and frontliners. Looking at it from a different perspective, you could say it was a whole barn yard of cows gathering together for a milking expedition. Prayer started where we got into groups of 2-3. I believe that it is by prayer that God can make things happen. And I believe that this wasn’t just a normal combine night but it was a night for us all to remember as the start of a very new journey with God.

Icebreaker-credits go to the ever famous Miss Tania Loke and little Miss Eulene who did a wonderful job preparing a mini game with so much life and enthusiasm! [Note. The blanket was a little bigger this time] All in all, people from both different youth groups were blending in, mingling around and having a fun time together.

Worship then started. And through the very slits of my eyes, I knew that God was present. People were lifting up their hands, crying out for God, jumping for joy, screaming their lungs out...Gahh! You get the picture, don’t you?! It was a time where we set our hearts right before God. A time where we made a decision whether or not God would be in full control of our life.

Pastor Thomas! Bless his soul! Anointed and very much of ‘ooomph’! With his message on BURN THE FATS, which was a good way to catch the young people’s attention. Telling us his past story on how having to eat a wax apple thinking that it was real did make us laugh our butts off our warmly heated chairs. To cut a long story short, his message was on being genuine Christians and not fake ones like the wax apple which I have a hunch that he lost a tooth through that incident! Readers, we are called not to just come to church or youth services and receive God’s blessing and love but to also be a blessing to others. We should be the irresistible influence, the salt of the earth, a youth with a difference! We need to grow...by reading the word of God, by setting a time to pray and seek the Lord. e’nough said!

All in all, it has a been a great night! To those who didn’t manage to attend tonight’s service, I’m here to tell you...that YOU MISSED A WHOLE LOT OF GOOD STUFF =)
