Sebagaimana hadirin maklum (that's like my favourite line to put into a syarahan/ucapan after i read it in an Adibah Amin book lol), the whole lot of fireBRANDS meet up together on Saturday nights, for a time dedicated to God.
But before every youth service, there's worship practice!

And after every worship practice, before every youth service, is Bible class.
So why come for Bible class?
It's a time to delve deep into God's Word, malah dapat mengetahui how you can actually apply it into your life, and not merely save up all the knowledge for Bible Quiz during Youth Camp.
And plus, the Bible class coordinator's great too, so why not?
On the 10th of the 10th of the 9th, complaint psalms were again the topic, Psalm 69 more specifically.
And, discussion based on something everyone asks, at some point or another:
Furthermore, you'll also get to know some people better through Bible class.
Sebagai contoh:
James looking awkwardly happy as he recounts being bashed by 10 Indian guys in school, after he attacked one of them. That was a long, long time ago. Now he's all big (inside, at least) and grown-up already.
But it all comes back to:
Reading the Word of God.
Right then, another plus of going for Bible class is dinner, together with everyone else!
At this stage of growth, it is imperative for every youth to have a healthy, good, warm fellowship with peers to encourage a more wholesome life.
Something like that lah.

Points were: "PMR and SPM candidates. Worship team and speaker, but Pastor Chong Leang wasn't there so Shaun represented him :) and people who were physically sick."

After which, the most important part of youth service, pada pendapat saya.
Worship.
And I think first-time worship leader Beverly did an excellent job!
But what's more was people truly worshipping God, some in different ways, but all in spirit and in truth.

The runners from fireBRANDS of the Pray and Run Marathon held that very morning. The marathon consisted of teams from different churches all over Penang taking shifts to run while praying for 5km along different parts of the island.
Each of them received certificates, except Nehemiah unfortunately cuz his name was misspelt.
Them in action! (LCD colour was a bit purplish that night)
Announcements also starred:
Yoong Wei, inviting the October babies up for a 'Happy Birthday!' song..
..and a prayer of blessing. And a fun-size Mars bar!
The last cast presented in announcements that night:

And, moving on, our speaker for the night:

And so he asked: What would YOU do if you were made king?
Answers came: Get a wife, conquer more territories..
But guess what King David did? He brought back the Ark of God. God's very presence.
Psalm 24. Believed to be written about the Ark, when it was brought back. A joining for two smaller poems (vv. 1-6 and 7-10).
When the Israelites brought the Ark back, they ushered in a movement of God, of unprecedented blessing and favour.
So.
GOD is looking for a GENERATION to bring about a MOVEMENT.
Cuz the last time there was a movement was the Jesus People movement back in the '60s. Happened among the youths of the world, it was when pipe organs were traded in for an electric guitar, a bass, drums.. what we have today.
And another wave is coming! God is looking for DAVIDS (and Davidesses).
The 3 things we need to do to become the forerunners of that movement:
1. Be a people of PURITY.
- clean hands and pure heart
2. Be a people of PASSION.
- to prevail with God like Jacob (Deceiver-turned-Prince) did
3. Be a people of PRAISE.
- EXTRAVAGANT praise!
And at the end, a time of worship to God, and making ourselves right with God, foremostly by bringing fathers back to children and children back to fathers.
