What Faith Can Do

Sorry for the long update, we had some problems with Blogger and it's uploads.

Selamat sejahtera diucapkan kepada para pembaca blog ini.
Alright, with the formalities done and over with, let's get back to why YOU were here in the first place. Any argument against this statement will be classified as "INVALID".

So, as usual, the evening kicked off with prayer session where we are divided into groups of 3-4 people to pray.

Selepas itu, we had icebreaker!! Led by none other than Vanessa and Natasha.

With every game, there has to be rules (And no, rules are created not for the breaking. Wanna go break, wait after icebreaker. Toilet Break) and the rules are as follows;
1. Sit in a circle as shown in the picture.
2. Settle down
3. For introduction, each person has to say the name of their favourite food.
4. A person is chosen to go first. He/She will have to say the name of his/her favourite food.
5. The person next to him/her will have to repeat the food mentioned by the first person and then follow it with his/her favourite food.
6. And it goes on and on and on until someone gets it wrong.

Well, this time, Vanessa and Natasha decided to go easy on those who got it wrong. They have to walk. The duck walk. :)

Icebreaker out, worship in. What's a youth service without worship? Without fuel, how can a fire keep burning? And that is why worship is the highlight of fireBRANDS.

Now what's up in the week ahead?
Next week, on the 4th of February, there will be no youth service in Sanctuary 2 because there is gonna be a REVO WILDFIRE PARTY which will be held at EPCC starting from 6.30pm.

Nicole Tan, Tan Wei-Lynn and Tania Loke. These 3 ladies have been in firebrands for some time now (But they're still young) and they will be leaving to further their studies at different places respectively. Do keep them in prayers :)

Next up, speaker for the night, LeRoy! :D

This time, we were divided into 6 groups and we are supposed to make a sketch based on the 3 clues given and guess the title of his message for the night.

He spoke about something so great that even the with the size of a mustard seed, it can move mountains. Faith.

According to a definition by his friend when asked, faith means "something to cling on to while everything around you changes."
Hebrews 11:1 tells us:
"Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see."

-We are all given a certain measure of faith from God.

-Faith is like a scale, and our faith levels can increase as well as decrease. No matter how low we think our faith level is, as long as it is still there, it is still able to move the mountains in life. Getting to God does not require high levels of faith. As long as you are willing to give your all to Him, He will take it.

-Feeling low? Disappointed with life? Hey, keep your head up because God is still at work in life even if your faith level is low.

-Life lessons teaches us that SEEING IS BELIEVING. But God works by BELIEVING THEN SEEING. Because that's what faith is. Believing in something we can't see.

-What can faith do? That's for you to find out, but know that great surprises are in unexpected corners.

The night ended with a quote saying that the testing of faith produces perserverance.
