A Day At The Beach

the title was inspired by Ladybird and Enid Blyton and Paddington Bear :)

Photography
: Tania Loke, James Tan, Leroy Tan, Tan Wei-Lynn and anyone else who happened to take photos with Tania's or Lynn's camera.

17 January 2009.

[Oh. Darn. I seriously don't know what to write.]

Um.

fireBRANDS lor. Go beach. Go beach play.

[Oh. No. What to write?]

Um.

[Fine, I'll try putting some photos up first, get this post moving along...]
*captions are beneath each photo, not above, thank you.

Ah. Yes. We were late. (Beach Day was supposed to start at 4 pm.)

And we weren't the only ones. (That's Khai Hern)

Oh right! Um. Something interesting we saw on the way there. (Now remember, boys and girls, you are always at risk of being photographed, almost anytime and anywhere. Unfortunately it's pretty hard to avoid that danger, so you'll just have to smile.)

We reached it, anyhow.

And when we got there, there was quite a crowd already...

... and Andrew "Blue" Chan (ABC. haha.) kicked off the games.
A game, more like.

Kutu and her obsession with jump shots.

Step one, tie legs together.

Step two, blindfold a partner (while the other smiles at the camera).

And step three, walk (and keep on smiling, the both of you).

Avoid the mines (flip-flops/sandals/slippers) on the way...

...and the sighted please guide the blind.

Reach the end, blind finds a certain card with help from the sighted, and they both walk back.

Line up, kids...

...and be kind to the cameraman.

BUT that isn't it.

Bring on the water bottles!

And the water balloons! Which were so hard to burst...

For some weird reason, our dear photographer was obsessed with snapping photos of the water balloons...

...and just couldn't stop it. (Can you spot the Hidden Mickey? haha.)

Beware the guy with the water gun.

But no matter how hard you try...

...or how fast you run...

...you just can't avoid them...

...sadists.

And through it all, Sharon Leow decided to trust Shaun Leow.

After the games were over, the fireBRANDS resigned to playing around and doing aimless things at the beach. (Well actually they started doing that even before the games ended, but oh well...)

The much-overused-but-still-necessary shot of shadows on the beach.

Someone parasailing. (Now remember, boys and girls, you never know who'll take a picture of you the next time you go parasailing...)

How many guys does it take to set up a barbecue pit?
Almost a dozen :)

Next, a short time of praise, led by Sharon. Every Move I Make and Shake Us Up Jesus. Uber-awesome, singing praises on the beach!

Food.
Now unfortunately this was where our dear photographers decided to take a break and enjoy the wonderful food, so that should explain the lack of photos of food (and prove how excellent the food was. haha).
There were heaps of pasta dishes, fried rice, yellow rice (don't know the dish's name), fried wantan, fried spring rolls, cheesecake, burger meat, something else and some other edible which was scrumptious.
Barbecued: chicken, sausages, garlic bread, satay and stuff like that.

Right then, after that, the guys decided to bask in their manhood and physical capabilities and so partook in some......sumo-wrestling.

Though it looked more like this.

An hour later...

...it was getting dark.

So everyone mah go home d lor.
